GREETINGS: Wagoner County Republicans
What a great convention! Are you impressed with the Republican Party Presidential Ticket? It seems every McCain action reveals the hypocrisy of the opposition.

We will be holding our monthly Wagoner County GOP meeting on Sept 11 at the Coweta Fair Grounds meeting room. Our Vice Chairwoman is organizing a pot luck dinner. We will set up the room at 6:30 pm and begin serving shortly thereafter. The featured speakers for the evening are KAFQ radio talk personality Chris Medlock and his wife Cheryl. Cheryl is a delegate to the GOP National Convention and Chris is an alternate delegate and a media reporter at the convention. They will be giving us their unique, 1st hand, perspective of the historic event. Sept 11 is also the opening night of the Coweta Fall Festival. I will be establishing the GOP tent space on Main St. Coweta before the pot luck dinner at the Fair Grounds. Remember the fund raising challenge: $911.00 by Sept 11. We have not yet reached our goal. Your contributions are most graciously accepted. The money raised will pay for an advertising mailer advancing the names of the local Wagoner County Republican office seekers. We have an excellent opportunity to retain the County Clerk office, capture the County Sheriff's office and make a serious challenge to the District 2 Commission seat and the Wagoner County Court Clerk position.

The Democrat run off for District 2 Commissioner candidate sent a signal of potential discontent to the established power brokers in Wagoner County. The candidate, expected to carry on the tradition of reward and punishment lost decisively to the individual without strong party ties. This is a good omen for not only Wagoner County Republicans but everyone who is tired of local government rule by intimidation. This is an opportunity to affect significant attitudinal changes in the way county business is conducted. A united effort by Republicans now can capitalize on this opportunity. Vote Republican on November 4. Let's take control of the Wagoner County Courthouse for the first time in State history and lets regain control of the Oklahoma State Legislature. Let's make sure Jeff Cloud and Dana Murphy are seated on the Oklahoma Corporation Commission. Let's keep John Sullivan in the US Congress and Jim Inhofe in the US Senate and let's make sure McCain/Palin are in the Chief Executive positions.
